How Kiss My Face Ltd, trading as VTA Veterinary Technology Association, handles your personal data.
Who we are
The Veterinary Technology Association (VTA) is operated by Kiss My Face Ltd, trading as VTA Veterinary Technology Association (“we”, “us”, “the association”). Kiss My Face Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of running the association.
You can contact us about this policy at any time via hello@thevta.org.
What we collect
When you apply for membership, register interest in a chapter or working group, or contact us, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, role, organisation, email address and the content of your message.
We also collect standard technical information when you browse the site, such as your browser type and approximate region, which we use in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, process and administer membership applications, organise chapters and working groups, and send you association news where you have asked to receive it.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except service providers who help us run the association (for example email and hosting providers), under appropriate safeguards.
Legal basis and retention
We process personal data on the basis of your consent (for enquiries and interest registrations), our legitimate interests in running a trade association, and, for members, the performance of the membership relationship.
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for those purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thevta.org. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the association grows. The current version is always published on this page, and material changes will be flagged to members directly.
