An association for the businesses building veterinary technology
The VTA exists principally to represent veterinary technology businesses, and to give them a structured way to share knowledge and collaborate.
Our mission
Veterinary care is being reshaped by software, devices, diagnostics and data. The companies doing that work now employ thousands of people and touch millions of animals, yet they have no shared voice in the decisions being made about the sector's future.
The Veterinary Technology Association is that voice. We represent our members in discussions with practices, corporate groups, regulators, professional bodies, insurers and government. We publish positions on behalf of the sector rather than on behalf of whichever company shouts loudest.
Knowledge and collaboration
Just as importantly, we create the forums where members talk to each other. Competing companies still share the same integration headaches, the same evidence expectations and the same hiring problems. Working groups turn those shared problems into agreed positions and practical guidance.
Open to the wider industry
Practices, practice groups, universities, incumbents, investors and advisers join as associate members. They sit in working groups, join the advisory board and shape our positions — while full membership, and the vote, stays with veterinary technology businesses.
